Wavetek 27XT LRC Digital Multimeter

Now this is the digital multimeter of choice for the loudspeaker hobbyist. What does it do that is so special? Well, it measures inductance (2mH, 20mH, 200mH, 2H, 20H ranges), capacitance (2nF, 20nF, 2uF, 20uF, 2000uF ranges), and has a frequency counter, all in addition to the usual multimeter functions! Is it as good as a dedicated LCR meter? Probably not, but this Wavetek meter's price was $119 at my local electronic parts depot. You can't even hope to touch a basic LCR meter for that kind of cash.
